12K Gold and Silver Antique Drop Paste Earrings, Italian Floral Dangle Earrings

These wonderful Italian antique dangle earrings are crafted from 12k yellow gold and 800 silver with a dangle design made to resemble cascading leaves. The interior of the drop is inlaid with high quality rose cut paste which resembles diamonds and is finished with a triangular blue sapphire paste stone. Paste is a leaded glass substitute which was often used in antique jewelry as a substitute for rare and expensive gemstones. The interior is set in silver to make the 'gems' reflect light back while the frame is 12k rosy gold. Featuring a latch back closure, the straight back catches on a spring laden latch so that the earrings hold very securely. We adore the unique design of this piece and love the mix between the dramatic and comfortable.
