15" Antique French Silver Watch Chain with Rose Gold Fill

This absolutely stunning silver filigree chain is the work of a talented silversmith. Featuring refined and delicately worked links which are centered with filigree and rose gold fill, the necklace closes with a spring ring and dog clip clasp at the neck. It's difficult to find silver chains with rose gold fill as they are understandably in very high demand. This one is a lovely example of the craftsmanship of the time with strong links which are in excellent condition. The chain has been hallmarked with two boar's heads, indicating at least 800 silver purity, standard for the era.
CONDITION NOTES:
The spring ring has lost some of the tension with time and the alignment is slightly off. Once it is put into place it holds well. The dog clip works well and the gold fill is in excellent condition. The links are strong and heavy.
