This buttery old gold filigree chain is a classic, solid staple for any antique jewelry collection. It can be dressed up or down, mixed and matched with other chains, or used to hang a pendant or locket. As the price of gold rises it can also make a great investment piece. Featuring navettes with a raised interior, surrounded by lovely decorative lacey details, it is a one of a kind beauty. The connecting quadrilobe pieces are similarly beautifully decorated. The chain has been hallmarked with three weevils, an uncommon gold hallmark in use from since 1864 for imported works. The spring ring is in excellent condition with very good tension and alignment and there is light use to the gold but no missing filigree or thin edges. The chain is worn close to the necklace and is choker length. It is an eye-catching addition which will add sophistication to any outfit.
