18k Diamond and Pearl Cluster Ring, Victorian French Daisy Ring, Antique XIX Century Ring

18k Diamond and Pearl Cluster Ring, Victorian French Daisy Ring, Antique XIX Century Ring

Is there a more classic combination than pearls and diamonds? We adore this Victorian pearl ring surrounded by a rose cut diamond cluster for its timeless beauty. It is prong set in an open back silver setting and attached to a straight 18k gold band. This would have been crafted long before the invention of cultured pearls, so unless it is a replacement the central pearl is natural in origin and a lovely cream. The diamonds are beautifully and expertly hand cut as lapidaries applied years of experience to bring out the best features of the stones. Known as a 'marguerite' ring in French, this is a classic style that continues to be popular even today. The band of the ring is stamped with an eagle head, guaranteeing at least 18k gold purity. It has been well worn with time but we've tried to capture it to the best of our ability, visible in photo ten. There are solder marks where the band of the ring meets the setting, but the ring is in otherwise excellent antique condition.
