From around the turn of the 20th century, this sentimental photo locket bears the shape of a heart and has been a keeper of secrets for over one hundred years. Carried through the ages, it has been well loved and well worn. Crafted from high quality 18k gold with an eagle head hallmark on the bail, it features classic Edwardian features such as a reed and cross hatch frame and green gold accents. The center is delicately inlaid with a natural seed pearl and the back is smooth. The gold is finely wrought and as such bears some marks of time, such as light dents to the front and reverse, a testament to the locket's history and use which makes it even more romantic. A lovely sentimental piece for a loved one or for yourself.
