18k Gold Sleeper Earrings, Antique Art Deco French Dormeuse Drop/Dangle Earrings, Something Old

These beautiful little repousse earrings are crafted from high quality 18k buttery yellow gold which is accented by a triangle of white gold at the base. Featuring a closure which loops through the ears at the top and locks into place, the are in good condition with strong hinges. Known as sleeper earrings, or dormeuse, they are light weight and very comfortable. It's likely they were never worn as they are still extremely shiny and show few signs of wear. There is one small dent to the side of one earring, consistent with age and not visible when worn. The earrings are hallmarked with an eagle head and a maker's mark, guaranteeing at least 750/1000 gold purity. A very lovely pair of earrings which would make the perfect bridal 'something old'.
