18K Gold Victorian Sleeper Drop Earrings, Antique French Floral Dangle Earrings
18K Gold Victorian Sleeper Drop Earrings, Antique French Floral Dangle Earrings
Is there anything more delicate and charming than floral sleeper earrings? I can never seem to keep enough of this style in stock and I understand why. The rosy gold, the yellow gold detailing around the center, and the hand engraved embellishments are all classic work of an era gone before. True to time and wear, there is light denting, but this is not visible when worn, as you can see in the photos. The earrings are quite small and dainty, comfortable enough to sleep in, thus meriting the name 'sleeper earrings'. They do take some getting used to as they feature an early lever-back closure which loops through the back of the ear into a rivet at the top of the flower. I recommend using your dominant hand to hook the latch but once they are in they hold very securely as the hinges are strong and in good condition. Hallmarked with two eagle heads, these earrings are crafted from high quality 18k gold. They make a lovely, understated small drop earring which can be worn comfortably all day.
