18K RUBY Floral Earrings, Vintage French Floral Drop Earrings

These lovely, small earrings are lightweight and comfortable with a charming floral design centered with a round brilliant cut ruby which measures approximately 2 mm across. The diameter of the flower portion is 8 mm. Judging by the style, gem cut, and closure I would place them as mid-century. The earrings have an old closure common in French earrings in which the hook loops through the back of the ear and attaches to a river at the top. One earring had a very well made gold soldering repair made to the base at one point and both earrings have a very secure closure so that you will not lose these charming heirlooms. For small gold articles, hallmarks were not required until 3 grams, as such these are not hallmarked but were purchased from a reputable auction house and have been acid tested to verify.
