Luminous, beautifully crafted, and effortlessly chic, this early Art Deco pendant was crafted around 1920. Bearing an eagle head hallmark on the bail, the pendant was crafted from 18k gold and topped with platinum to better reflect the light from the old European cut white sapphire which centers this lovely piece. The frame surrounding the sapphire is inlaid with diamond chips. White sapphires were often used as diamond substitutes as they are hard wearing with a silvery shimmer. It sapphire measures a generous 4.5 mm in diameter.
CONDITION NOTES:
The bail is a little small so you might need to find a thin, delicate chain to wear the pendant with.
