Heavy and luxurious, this timeless chain was crafted during the Art Deco period. It features a figaro chain consisting of long rectangular links mixed with short lengths of curb chain all crafted from rich, buttery old gold. The symmetry and perfect balance of the chain gives it an understated charm. As pictured in photo ten, the lengths are hallmarked with a rhino head, a French guarantee for 18k gold. Both the dog clip clasp and spring ring are in excellent working condition and the links have been inspected for wear and are strong. This type of chain makes the perfect starter for a collection since it is so versatile. Originally this would have been used as a men's pocket watch chain and one end would have been hooked to a man's jacket. However, now it makes a lovely choker necklace or a bracelet when wrapped twice around the wrist. You can even add a pendant to the bolt ring if you really feel like making a statement. There is light oxydation to the spring ring which can be removed before shipping upon request. I try to give a light cleaning to antique pieces but not over clean since many clients enjoy the patina of time which is much easier to remove than to wait for it to come back. A chic and elegant piece which will go with any outfit.
