This buttery old gold filigree chain is the perfect showcase for French craftsmanship of the Belle Epoque Era and stands as a testament to the outstanding attention to detail of the time. Featuring lozenge links with interior symmetrical filigree work which is centered with a gold bead, each individual piece of filigree and detailing was hand crafted by a skilled goldsmith without the use of modern tools. There is something romantic about imagining a tradesman over his work bench taking great pride in his creations. They are pieces of art from a time gone before that have been passed down through generations. It is my goal to connect these pieces with owners who appreciate their history and beauty and will care for them while giving them a second life. This gorgeous piece has links which are strong and have many years of life left. You will want to avoid any sudden jerks to the connecting trace chain as this is more delicate, just as you would with a modern piece. The spring ring is in excellent condition with very good tension and alignment and there is light use to the gold but no missing filigree or thin edges. The chain can be wrapped twice around the neck as a choker or worn as one long sautoir. It's a versatile size and is an eye-catching addition which will add sophistication to any outfit.
