18K Solid Gold Victorian Old Mine Cut Diamond Crescent Floral Bangle

Crafted towards the end of the Victorian era, this lovely celestial, floral bangle features ten rose cut diamonds and one old mine cut diamond set in silver in a beautiful floral spray. Silver was often used as a setting in antique jewelry to enhance the shine of diamonds. The floral design is cleverly crafted inside a crescent moon. Typically given for honeymoons, crescent jewelry was given as bridal gifts to a newlywed couple symbolizing the start of their new journey together. Each diamond was hand-cut by skilled artisans to sparkle under candlelight, adding an irresistible charm to the piece. The large central diamond is very chunky and measures approximately 3 mm x 3 mm while the smaller rose cut diamonds measure in size from 1.5 mm to 3 mm. The bangle opens effortlessly with a discreet push catch, while a secure gold safety chain ensures you won't lose this heirloom piece. It is hallmarked with a horse head, in use between 1838 and 1919.

CONDITION NOTES:
The bracelet seems to have had an accident at some point in time and is lightly bent at some angles and bears pressure points, visible from above. This has also caused a fissure on one side of the bangle by the seed pearl. This does not affect the stability or wearability of the piece and is not something visible when worn but is something to keep in mind. The bangle still closes very securely and is paired with a security chain so you don't lose this heirloom piece.

This bracelet is recommended for small to medium-small wrists around 5.5-6.2 inches in circumference.
