18K Victorian Ruby and Diamond ring, Antique Belle Epoque French Trilogy ring c. 1900

This lovely little Edwardian ring features three natural, pinkish red rubies which are separated by four rose cut diamond chips. The stones are prong set in 18k gold have been inspected for wear and fixed so that the prongs hold the rubies securely. A few of the prongs which hold the central ruby have worn with time but the remaining two prongs hold the central stone in place. The head of the ring measures 13 mm x 4 mm while the central ruby measures 4 mm x 3 mm. The ring has been resized larger once from a French 48 to a 52, so this one is for those with small fingers. The hallmark has been worn or removed with resizing but the ring purity has been verified by an acid test. It is a beautiful ring with an understated charm crafted around the turn of the century.
