18k White Gold Art Deco Engagement Ring, Antique Marquise Filigree White Sapphire Engagement Ring

This lovely marquise Art Deco ring features a small white sapphire surrounding by stunning filigree work, topped with tiny milgrain dotted edges. White sapphires were a common diamond substitute at the turn of the century as they are nearly as hard-wearing as diamonds and have great sparkle. They shine with a lovely, deep silvery grey and pair well with anything. The details on authentic Art Deco rings is stunning and they have a proven timelessness that's hard to come by in modern pieces. Stamped on the band with 18k, this ring was originally produced in the United States and somehow found it's way to Europe. I love that this ring is small and comfortable enough for everyday wear, but really makes an impression with the beautiful detailing. The ring is in excellent vintage condition with no scratches or wear to the sapphire under magnification and light wear to the band, consistent with age.
