18K White Gold Art Deco White Spinel Post Screw Back Earrings c. 1930

18K White Gold Art Deco White Spinel Post Screw Back Earrings c. 1930

These classic and timeless earrings are crafted from high quality 18k white gold, featuring a central round-cut gemstone in an illusion setting. From the Art Deco period, crafted around 1930, they are an excellent example of the craftsmanship of the era. The stones themselves are cut from white spinel, a diamond substitute. The stones measure approximately 4.5 mm across, for a carat weight of around .3 carats. They still have the original screw back closure. Commanding attention, these beautiful earrings are a versatile ornament for everyday wear.

CONDITION NOTES:
The earrings are less than three grams and therefore nor required to bear a guarantee mark, but are stamped with the maker's mark, visible in the last photo.
