A lovely beauty from the Art Nouveau period, this chain embodies all the best elements of French craftsmanship. Although the links are delicate and feature fine filigree work, they still manage to be strong and sturdy due to the heavy and luxurious nature of the chain. The spring ring is also in excellent condition with good tension and alignment, along with a stunning security chain that really elevates the piece. Certainly once the staple of a very fashionable woman, it has been well cared for through the ages and bears no damage to the delicate filigree, rare for antique pieces. As always, you will need to treat the chain with care as even pieces in very good condition have links which have weakened with time. As such, avoid any sudden tugs or pulls, especially to the connecting links. The chain is hallmarked with an eagle head and a rhino, guaranteeing high quality solid 18k gold which has that lovely, buttery old gold shine. With the length a comfortable 57 cm or about 22.5 inches, it is the perfect length to wear alone and make an impression. It will be sure to elevate any outfit and can easily be dressed up or down.
