52" Antique Silver Infinity Knot Long Guard Chain, French Chatelaine Chain with Hanging Bolt Ring

This pretty full-length long guard chain was crated by talented silversmiths around the turn of the 20th century. The delicate oval links showcase romantic and whimiscal infinity knots which represent undying love and devotion. Stamped with a boar's head hallmark from the Paris assay office, it assures a minimum silver purity of 800. This versatile piece seamlessly combines artistry and functionality. The hanging bolt ring is secure and functional with good tension and alignment. These hanging bolt rings add an extra layer of functionality as they can be used to clip the chain in place or used to attach a pendant or locket. The links have been inspected for wear but remain strong and in excellent condition.
