53.5" Antique French Silver Filigree Long Guard Chain, Victorian Muff Chain with hanging bolt ring

This beautiful silver long guard chain features carefully crafted repeating filigree navettes connected with bow links. Hallmarked with a crab, the chain was assayed in one of the French departments around the turn of the century and remains in excellent condition. The links have been inspected and are in good condition, strong, and with a lot of life left if treated with the care necessary for these antique pieces. The chain has a replacement hanging bolt ring which is a slightly different color. A standout piece to add to your collection that showcases many beautiful designs of the era.
