58" French Silver Long Guard Chain, Art Deco Long Chain with Hanging Bolt Ring

A classic style with a twist, this French long guard chain was constructed in the Art Deco period, c. 1930. Heavy and strong, it features a rolo chain design with textured round links and flat rectangular links. The combination of textures and shapes make it a very pleasing design for the eyes while the craftsmanship delivers everything one can expect from the era. In excellent condition, the links have been inspected and are strong with many years of wear left. The hanging bolt ring is also strong with good tension and alignment. A great piece to mix and match with other chains or to pair with a silver pendant which can clip onto the bolt ring. It is hallmarked with two crabs, indicating at least 800 silver purity, standard for the period.
