Antique 14K Solid Gold Art Nouveau Slide Mirror Necklace with Woman's Face Inlaid with Rose Cut Diamonds c. 1890

This exquisite antique slide mirror pendant hails from the Art Nouveau era (1890-1914). Crafted in 14 karat yellow gold, it features a beautifully detailed female portrait in bass-relief profile, adorned with a headband and set with eleven small rose-cut diamonds. This locket not only serves as a timeless piece of jewelry but also a practical compact mirror which remains in excellent condition. The piece is hallmarked on the bail with an oak leaf, a Dutch hallmark in use from 1853-1906. It is complimented by the original paper clip chain, also 14k gold, which measures cm in length. They make a beautiful pairing, delicate and feminine, a reminder of why the Art Nouveau movement has had such an enduring appeal.

Condition Notes:
This locket weighs 9.74 grams and is in very good condition, showing minimal signs of wear. All diamonds are intact and sparkle brilliantly. The mirror is still in excellent condition with no foxing or fogginess. The slide mirror closes securely.
