This beautiful 18k gold pendant has been passed down from the mid-19th century Napoleon III period. Crafted in France, it features a unique shield shape adorned with tri-color gold and hanging ball-capped tassels. The front has a lovely floral design with complimentary engraving and scroll work at the top of the shield. It looks spectacular on a thick and heavy watch chain, or a simple belcher chain, and makes a spectacular statement piece when paired with a deep v-neck little black dress.
CONDITION NOTES:
It is hallmarked with an eagle head, visible in photo ten. The pendant has light denting to the reverse and a scratch to the engraving on the ring side of the front facing shield. See photos for details. The bail is thick and strong. A lovely and unique piece for any collection.
