Antique 18K Rose Gold Albert Chain T-Bar Watch Chain Choker Necklace

This absolutely fantastic watch chain features a sought after style with a unique fancy chain design. Crafted from heavy, rosy solid gold, it is hallmarked with an eagle head guaranteeing at least 18k gold purity. It has a mix of round links and long bar links with an unique interior design. This type of watch chain is known as an "Albert chain" and was appropriately named after Prince Albert, consort to Queen Victoria. Traditionally it has a bar on one end used to attach the chain to a vest buttonhole. The opposite end of the chain is fitted with a swivel dog clip clasp to attach the watch.

It appears the dog clip clasp and spring ring on this are replacements as they are smaller than what one would often find on a chain of this style, but it is a great stylistic choice as it allows the hanging t-bar to become focus of the chain as the closures are scaled down to blend in. The rose gold color matches perfectly and the replacements are still antiques which makes it a seamless change.

CONDITION NOTES:
This chain fits close to the neckline, so I recommend measuring your neck circumference to make sure the chain would fit comfortably. The links are strong and in excellent condition with many years of life left. The spring ring and dog clip clasp are in excellent condition with good tension and alignment.
