Unique, large, and a true statement piece, this lovely 18k rosy gold pendant is any antique jewelry lover's dream. A large bail holds three finely crafted foxtail chains, a type of chain designed to provide strength and flexibility which is associated with high-quality and well-crafted jewelry due to its intricate design and the attention to detail required to create it. The pendant is finely decorated with yellow gold embellishments and engraving on the front, with a flat engraved back. A hinged half moon piece below the pendant was designed to add a fluidity as it moves with the wearer and with the fringe below. Please note that it is a pendant, not a locket, and does not open. It does provide a multitude of style choices as it looks fantastic on a long guard chain, as pitured, or is a show stopper with a v-neck little black dress and a simple belcher chain. Any way you choose to wear it is sure to turn heads.
CONDITION NOTES:
Note that one of the foxtail fringes has broken about halfway down, visible in photos and videos. It is not obvious when worn as the fringe moves with the wearer. There is one small area to the foxtail chain on the top where there are two looped gold pieces instead of four, but it remains strong and not at risk of breaking. Lastly there is one small area of wear to the pendant on the front, visible in photo six, where the gold looks brighter. It is also not visible when worn and these flaws are a testament to the history and authenticity of the piece.
