Antique 18K Solid Gold and Platinum Art Deco Rose Earrings c. 1910
Antique 18K Solid Gold and Platinum Art Deco Rose Earrings c. 1910
These lovely early Art Deco earrings are full of charm. Featuring a platinum topped scalloped frame which surrounds a small rose, they have a classic feminine charm. The earrings close with an early leverback closure popular at the turn of the century in which the hinge passes through the back of the ear and attaches to a rivet at the top of the earring. They have been tested for 18k gold purity which is the standard for France during this period. Small and lightweight, they are very comfortable to wear all day and are a lovely compliment to any outfit.
CONDITION NOTES:
The roses are delicate and have sustained war with age and use. They have very light pinprick holes in some ares where the gold on the petals wore thin. This doe snot affect the stability of the piece but they will need to be treated with a certain level of care. See photos for details.
