Antique 18K Solid Gold and Ruby Paste Belle Epoque Sleeper Earrings c. 1880

These beautiful Victorian sleeper earrings are delicately decorated and feature an accessible swan neck. Crafted from high quality 18k yellow gold, they are hallmarked with an eagle head and inlaid with a small central ruby paste stone. An engraved flower surrounds the pearl in a layered two tiered design with further lovely embellishments. One of the clever design features is a little hinged triangle at the base of the earrings which are used to secure the swan neck so that you don't lose these gorgeous heirloom pieces. They close securely and are lightweight and comfortable enough to make a timeless every day pair of earrings that can add a little bit of French charm to any outfit.

CONDITION NOTES: In excellent antique condition they don't have any notable dents or fissures. Unique and sturdy, they fasten securely so that you can keep this heirloom safe for many years to come.
