Antique 18K Solid Gold French Regional Pendant Necklace with Imitation Emerald

This delicately constructed pendant necklace was crafted from high quality 18K yellow gold during the Napoleon III period. It features an embossed gold heart which is attached to a beautifully chased runner, set with emerald paste (green glass). The links are composed of thin pieces of gold which were individually crafted and were woven together to a length of 45.5 cm. The necklace closes with a barrel clasp at the neck.

CONDITION NOTES:
The heart has been dented with time and use. There are miniscule dents and areas of gold loss. The emerald paste has a conchoidal fracture which is not visible when worn. As the necklace is light weight please handle with care and avoid any sudden tugs or pulls when worn.
