Antique 18K White Gold Art Deco Rock Crystal Trembleuse Earrings c. 1930

Antique 18K White Gold Art Deco Rock Crystal Trembleuse Earrings c. 1930

These classic and timeless earrings are crafted from high quality 18k white gold, featuring a delicate line of two small round-cut rock crystals along the closure. The large hanging round-cut rock crystal is elegantly cradled in a trembleuse claw setting. This innovative setting allows the stone to dance with graceful movement as you go about your day, capturing the light and attention of all who gaze upon it. The earrings are large enough to make an impression but small enough to wear comfortably throughout the day.

From the Art Deco period, crafted around 1930, they are an excellent example of the craftsmanship of the era. The stones themselves are cut from rock crystal, or quartz, a common diamond substitute at the time. The large hanging stone measures approximately 4 mm across, for a carat weight of around .2 carats. The smaller stones measure approximately 2.5 mm across, weighing around 0.05 carats each. Commanding attention, these beautiful earrings are not only a versatile ornament for everyday wear, they are a piece of history which has been passed carefully through the ages.

CONDITION NOTES:
The earrings are in overall excellent condition with strong hinges and a good latch. The stones are clear with little wear to the facets under magnification. There are light areas where there is a gold undertone to the white gold, not visible when worn. See photos for details.
