Antique Art Deco Calibrated Sapphire and Diamond Geometric Ring c. 1915
Antique Art Deco Calibrated Sapphire and Diamond Geometric Ring c. 1915
This unique Art Deco ring was crafted around 1915 and features fourteen calibrated synthetic sapphires which fan out around a central, transitional cut diamond. The sapphires are in turn framed by twenty four rose cut diamond chips. The overall impression is timeless but unique. I usually see rings like this in a round or rectangular shape, so to have a navette ring in this style puts a fun twist on a classically Art Deco style. The ring weighs in at a comfortable three grams and is a low profile which makes it practical to wear. Hallmarked with an eagle head, indicating 18k gold purity, the ring is a high quality example of Art Deco craftsmanship.
CONDITION NOTES:
The ring is in good antique condition consistent with age and use. There are micro-scratches to the gold but no eye visible wear to the facets. Check the size as the ring is small but could be re-sized by a jeweler of your choice.
