Antique Belle Epoque Solid 18K Gold Turquoise Drop Earrings, French Dangle Earrings

These exquisite earrings are from the Napoleon III period, circa 1860. Elegant and practical, they feature a swan neck earring back which has a sleeper top with a connected pendant drop. The addition of the swan neck makes them easier to handle than many other earrings of this time period which have hinged sleepers on top. The pendant bottoms are a lovely compliment to the top. They feature a central, prong set turquoise which is surrounded by a twisted frame. It swings freely inside two beautifully engraved, embellished ovals. The top and bottom are fixed securely so they will not come apart. They are an excellent addition to any collection.

CONDITION NOTES:
The earrings are in excellent antique condition with light micro scratches to the gold but nothing noticeable when worn or that takes away from their charm. They are hallmarked with an eagle head on the hook of the swan neck, visible in photo ten, and at the top of the sleeper portion.
