Antique Blue Guilloche Enamel Locket, Belle Epoque Star Locket c. 1900

This beautifully refined and sweet guilloche hand-painted locket is striking in every way. The intricate engine turned pattern shimmers softly in the light and is finished a frame of gold and a central star. The reverse is likewise beautifully decorated with a guilloche wavy pattern in a repeating circle. Set in a round, silver frame the locket closes and opens from the top. The interior of the locket has a soft golden glow from the vermeil overlay. It is a very beautiful and unique piece that shows excellent craftsmanship of a bygone era.

CONDITION NOTES:
There are no remaining frames and there is some light interior tarnish which is visible in photos and stands as a a testament to the history of the piece. The locket closes securely and the enamel remains in excellent condition with no accidents.
