Antique Edwardian Gold Filled Heart Locket with Ruby Paste Stone c. 1900

This small, charming locket has our hearts. With a small ruby paste stone set in a starburst setting and surrounded by a reed and cross hatch frame, it is extremely Edwardian in design. It opens to reveal space for a photo or special memory. It contains two original frames, rare for lockets of this age. The back is smooth or engraving or personalization. It has gold loss the to edges and bail, as well as one area on the front and a portion of the reverse, consistent with age, but closes well. These timeworn marks are a testament to the history of the piece.
