This stunning late Georgian emerald ring features a central emerald with a halo of expertly hand cut diamonds which are encased in silver, typical for the period. The silver setting has been mounted on an 18k gold band with an open back for light to pass through the emerald. The color in person is truly stunning with a very deep green which becomes lighter with the sun, sparkling brilliantly. The ring is in very good antique condition with wear consistent with age. The band has, understandably, been worn of all hallmarks due to age and time, but has been sold by a reputable auction house and verified with an acid test. It is small and lightweight, perfect for every day wear or when you want to make an impression.
