Antique French 18k Art Deco Sleeper Earrings, Bi Color Gold Geometric Earrings

These lovely Art Deco drop earrings were likely crafted around 1930 and features two yellow gold diamonds decorated with contrasting curved and geometric detailing. It is accented by white gold, which was typical for the era. This style is known as a 'sleeper earring' as they were considered lightweight and comfortable enough for the wearer to sleep in. I wouldn't recommend sleeping in them nowadays as they often feature small and delicate hinges which will need to be handled with care but they are comfortable enough for a full day of wear. Featuring an early lever-back closure, the hook loops through the back of the ear and attaches to a rivet at the top of the earring. These often takes some practice getting used to as they are quite different than a modern closure. Using patience and a dominant hand to latch the hook often helps.

CONDITION NOTES:
There are micro-scratches to the gold and other normal wear for age. Do check the measurements as they are small earrings. They are a petite size and fit adults but are light weight and small.
