This beautiful silver watch chain is the perfect length to be worn as a lovely "ras de cou" which graces the collarbone. Featuring fifteen navette links with raised centers surrounded by filigree, it is the work of a talented silversmith. Jewelry from this period was built to last, and we see that in the thick and high quality work the chain represents. The links are strong and in excellent condition. The chain closes with a dog cli clasp and a spring ring. The chain is hallmarked with two boar's heads, guaranteeing at least 800 silver purity.
CONDITION NOTES:
The chain is in good condition for age but the spring ring clip clasp is slightly off in alignment after years of use. It closes securely but you will need to guide it into place. The dog clip clasp works without issue. The silver has a lovely patina that only comes with time and stands as a testament to the history of the piece.
