Antique French Pearl Daisy Dormeuse Sleeper Earrings, Belle Epoque Seed Pearl Floral Earrings

These beautiful floral cluster earrings have the timeless elegance of the ages. Crafted during the end of the Victorian period, they feature an early lever-back closure which threads through the back of the ear and attaches to a rivet at the top of the earrings. The hinges are strong and sturdy so that you will not lose these beautiful heirloom pieces. This style is known as marguerite, or daisy, as the accent pearls fan out around the large central pearl in the shape of a daisy. Even the setting is designed in the shape of a petal to give the impression of wearing delicate flowers. This is accentuated by the delicate pierced gallery upon which the setting is placed.

CONDITION NOTES:
The earrings are in good condition for age, but some of the pearls are replacements. The replacements are slightly whiter in appearance as pearls tend to shrink and their color deepen with age. As pearls are notoriously sensitive to aging and need proper conditions and care. To extend the life of your pearls, clean them only with a cotton cloth and avoid any exposure to harsh chemicals and remember to take them off before showers or going for a swim.
