Antique French Regional Day and Night Drop Dangle Earrings

These lovely earrings are regional gems from the Arles region of France, crafted in the 19th century. Elegant and practical, they are made from high quality 800 silver with 18k gold hinges and bails. The earrings are encrusted with rose cut diamonds in a cut down collet setting. The sleeper has a practical lever back closure that is a little easier to navigate than some of the antique closures which thread through the back of the ear, but one of the drop portions can no longer slide over the hinge to be removed. Unique and eye catching, they make a great, versatile example of French regional craftsmanship.

CONDITION NOTES:
The earrings are in very good condition for age with secure closures. There is no wear to the diamond facets under magnification and the diamonds are well secured. There is oxidation and micro-scratches consistent with age and use.

An outstanding pair to cherish and treasure, so sweet and charming when worn.
