Antique French Silver Long Sautoir Necklace c. 1900

I adore this style of specialty chain as carries such a unique 'of-the-era' design. Crafted from high quality 800 silver, this timeless sautoir can elevate any outfit. It features beautifully worked milgrain beading on the interior filigree. I had to double it to photograph it on the mannequin but please note that it is meant to be worn as one long chain, as shown in the last picture. It has no spring ring or opening so it will not fit twice, unless you would like to alter it with a spring ring or closure. As is, it just goes overhead and looks fabulous. It was likely part of one long sautoir and was altered and made into a demi-parure with a matching bracelet, also available on the site. It's a great and unique piece for any lover of antiques.
