Antique French Victorian Filigree Chain Necklace

This beautifully decorated filigree chain was cut down from a longer long guard at some point in its long history. Featuring filigree navette links which are mixed with long, flat rectangular links, this watch chain manages to be delicate in its impression but sturdy in its build. It closes with a spring ring which is strong with good tension and alignment. It has been thoroughly inspected but the links are strong and in very good condition and is made of high quality 800 silver, standard for the period, and hallmarked with a boar's head on one of the links.

Condition Notes:
The links are strong and in excellent condition. One link has been replaced which is not visible when worn. The silver has been slightly tarnished which leaves a nice patina of age.
