This lovely diamond cluster ring is a Georgian Revival piece crafted in the early 20th century in the Netherlands. Hallmarked with an oak leaf, in use from 1852-1906, the band is made of beautifully decorated 14K yellow gold. The face of the ring features rose cut diamonds securely held in a silver cut down collet setting. Setting diamonds in silver was a popular design element in antique jewelry as it helped reflect the light around the diamonds and enhanced their brilliance. The diamonds are open backed.
