Antique Gold Filled Drapery Necklace, Art Nouveau Filigree French Necklace c. 1920

This beautiful drapery necklace is likely from around 1920. It features eleven filigree sheild links which grace the collar bone of the wearer in a very flattering style. The details of this piece are particularly lovely. We love the twisted detailing at the head of the drop links and the milgrain beading on the interior filigree work. The decorative links are finished with bow shaped trace chain and the necklace closes with a spring ring clasp which is in excellent condition with good alignment and tension. There is notable gold loss to the necklace, visible in pictures, which gives a lovely patina of time and keeps it from being too flashy or shiny. It has been priced to show that it has been well loved and well worn but would be perfect for any lover of antiques and is too lovely of a piece not to give a second life.
