Antique Napoleon III 18K Gold Drop Earrings

These exquisite earrings are from the Napoleon III period, circa 1870. The earrings feature beautiful detailing and a unique style. The earrings have a fantastic 3D appearance from the way they've been crafted which really set them apart from modern jewelry and give them a very unique and sought after style. The earrings feature an early lever-back closure which can be difficult to use at first. The closure goes through the back of the ear and attaches to a rivet at the top of the earrings. With practice they become easier to get hooked and the latch is secure, despite the age of the earrings.

CONDITION NOTES:
The earrings are in good antique condition for age. They have light micro scratches to the gold and the raised gold on the earrings has worn down, visible in photos but nothing that takes away from their charm. Check the photos and videos for more details. They are hallmarked with an horse head, visible in photo ten, and at the base of the hinge.
