These charming and gorgeous cluster earrings were created during the Edwardian period, circa 1900. Hand crafted from solid 18 K gold and hallmarked with an eagle head, they are topped in platinum to help the reflect light from the diamonds, typical of the era. Platinum was not legally required to be hallmarked until after 1912, as such they have been acid tested for confirmation which is consistent with the style and period of production. They feature a classy antique cluster daisy design with a central rose cut diamond which is surrounded by eight other flat rose cuts. A diamond chip crowns the daisy cluster for a total of ten rose cut diamonds on each earring. The central rose cut diamond measures approximately 1.5 mm across, while the surrounding flat rose cut diamonds measure approximately 1 mm across.
CONDITION NOTES:
The earrings are in very good condition for age with strong latches and secure closures. There is no wear to the diamond facets under magnification and the diamonds are well secured. There is oxidation and micro-scratches consistent with age and use. They are a petite pair of earrings which would likely best fit petite ears. I've zoomed in for details but you'll want to check measurements to verify the size and fit.
