Antique Silver Art Nouveau French Virgin Mary Medal, French Religious Medal

This antique religious medallion is full of sweet and tender charm. The Virgin faces right in profile, with the delicate drapes of her veil meticulously etched into the silver. The reverse is blank to be inscribed for a baptism or communion. Signs of wear consistent with age, but nothing notable. It is the perfect size for every day wear, comfortable and light. The medal is hallmarked with a crab while the chain is hallmarked with a boar's head, indicating at least 800 silver purity. The medal comes on a silver box chain so it is ready to be worn straight out of the package.
