Antique Silver Enamel Victorian Locket with Hinged Glass Partition

A very unique addition to any collection, this Victorian era piece features a heavily engraved face which has been finished with black enameling. Enameling was popular throughout the Victorian era and looks lovely against the silvery sheen of the locket and adds a bit of gothic flair. The interior has been gold washed and retains an original hinged glass partition which can be used to store a photo or memento. Both sides are identical and would look fabulous on a long guard chain or a simple rolo chain.

CONDITION NOTES:
There is light enamel loss to both sides, but the locket is in otherwise very good condition. The locket closes securely and remains very lovely.
