This lovely silver Edwardian locket features a repousse design with a Lorraine Cross inside a classic Edwardian reed and cross hatch frame. The Lorraine Cross, also known as the Anjou Cross, is a regional cross which represented the Lorraine Duchy in the East of France. Opening from the top, this silver locket closes firmly with a satisfying snap. The interior contains original photos which could be kept or replaced with a special memory of your own. It would make a lovely gift to someone with roots in the Lorraine region or as a lovely and thoughtful souvenir for anyone who has spent time in the area.
CONDITINO NOTES:
In excellent condition with a strong hinge and a good latch. There is no denting to the front or reverse and the original frames and photos remain.
