Beautifully crafted, this early 20th century watch chain is composed of 800-900 silver and hallmarked with two crabs as visible in photo ten. Despite the chain's age the links are in excellent condition and very strong. Likewise, the dog clip clasp is in good condition with good alignment. The bolt ring will need to be pushed into place as the tension has been affected by years of use but still has good alignment and holds well. The length of the chain is shorter than a modern chain but it makes a very lovely and stylish short necklace or can be doubled for a bracelet. Do check the length to verify fit. The filigree on these pieces is always so beautifully detailed and includes beaded texturing. A beautiful patina remains to show the authenticity of the piece. A versatile and well-crafted piece in excellent condition.
