Antique Solid Gold and Platinum Bangle with Diamonds, Belle Epoque French Opening Bracelet with Safety Chain c. 1890
Antique Solid Gold and Platinum Bangle with Diamonds, Belle Epoque French Opening Bracelet with Safety Chain c. 1890
This charming and understated bracelet was crafted in the Edwardian era circa 1900. It features a buttery gold patina topped with platinum to help reflect the light from the diamonds and enhance their shine. We love it's simplicity; it is not ostentatious but has unique elements that make it a timeless companion piece for any outfit. It features a central old European cut diamond which measures approximately 3 mm across, flanked by fourteen more rose cut diamonds measuring 1-1.5 mm in size. The bracelet closes with a box clasp, and is reinforced by a security latch. The hallmark on the box clasp has faded with time, but it's still possible to make out a weevil, which guarantees at least 18k gold purity.
CONDITION NOTES:
The diamond is securely set and not at risk of falling out. The box clasp has a safety latch so that everything stays securely in place.
