Antique Solid Gold Pearl Locket, French Victorian Sentimental Locket Pendant

Eye catching and beautifully crafted, this antique locket is bursting with details and charm. Featuring a central floral design which has been applied to the frame, it is held very sturdily in place and does not move. The flower is embedded with seven natural pearls, often used to symbolize purity in the Victorian period. The top and bottom of the locket add some drama with a beautiful floral and leaf pattern. An engraved back finishes the piece to great effect.

CONDITION NOTES:

The locket is in excellent condition with light micro-scratches consistent with age. There is no interior glass to the locket, but a photo holds securely to the side. I always love to put dried flowers in my lockets but it could also hold gem stones or anything else that needs to be guarded preciously. The closure is secure and despite the lockets age it closes with a satisfying 'click'. A very unique piece in excellent condition waiting to hold your treasures.
