Antique Swiss Enamel Guilloche Hand Painted Locket

This beautifully refined and sweet guilloche hand-painted locket is striking in every way. The intricate engine turned pattern shimmers a soft, pale yellow in the light and is finished with small, hand painted pink roses which turn around the frame. The reverse is likewise beautifully decorated with a guilloche wavy pattern in a repeating circle. Set in a round, silver frame the locket closes and opens from the top very securely. The interior of the locket has a soft golden glow from the vermeil overlay. Swiss in origin, it bears a weevil hallmark for imported silver. It is a very beautiful and unique piece that shows excellent craftsmanship of a bygone era.

CONDITION NOTES:
There is only one remaining frame but the locket closes securely and the enamel remains in excellent condition with no accidents.
