Antique Victorian Turqoise and Pearl Dangle Earrings, Antique French Napoleon III Lover's Knot Earrings c. 1870

Antique Victorian Turqoise and Pearl Dangle Earrings, Antique French Napoleon III Lover's Knot Earrings c. 1870

These stunning earrings were crafted by hand during the Napoleon III Era of France, circa 1860. They feature a convenient and accessible swan neck earring back for pierced ears. They are comprised of a teardrop shaped upper sleeper which holds a prong set turquoise securely. The bottom pendant plays with textured and smooth gold and features a matching line of pearls and turquoise which are also securely prong set. They are light enough to wear comfortably but big enough to make a lasting impression. One of the most interesting design choices for this piece is that the smooth gold does not lay flat but is designed at an angle, which adds a very interesting geometric, angular shape to contrast the flowing design of the oval which is overlaid. Certainly a one of a kind piece for the astute collector, this will easily gain a treasured place in your collection.
